About the Initiative

The A List Create Space Arts Initiative is committed to fostering inclusive, accessible, and innovative arts experiences that welcome everyone. These events are designed to empower neurodivergent individuals, celebrate diversity, and create spaces where creativity and connection thrive. Quiet rooms, flexible participation options, and thoughtful design ensure that everyone feels included and valued.

The Create Space Arts Initiative is a groundbreaking national project transforming Australia’s iconic cultural venues into welcoming spaces for everyone. Designed to celebrate inclusion and connection, the initiative showcases creative content crafted by neurodivergent artists and is guided by an Autistic Arts Advisory Board.  It was born from the countless interactions that The A List and MyCareSpace staff had with the autistic community and families, looking to participate in social events within arts and culture.

These events invite all people of all neurotypes to immerse themselves in vibrant and engaging experiences like silent discos, creating soundscapes, comedy nights, science experience, historical recreations, making art and dancing.

The Create Space Arts Initiative is a bold step towards building a world where inclusion is the norm, inviting all people to connect, create, participate and belong in arts and culture.”
