On Sensory-Friendly Sundays, our new exhibitions and activity areas open extra early for a quieter, more accessible experience, tailored for autistic visitors and those with diverse abilities.

Sensory Friendly sessions include early access to the museum galleries including all of our newest exhibitions, HMAS Onslow Submarine, Underwater drone’s workshops (suitable for visitors 7+ years) and our activity areas for sensory-friendly guests.

We are proud to support the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower. Our sunflower trained staff and volunteers will be available to support access and guide creative activities.

Enjoy a comfortable environment for kids and adults with a variety of sensory differences. On Sensory-Friendly Days our new exhibitions and activity areas will be open extra early or late for a quieter experience and modified to suit people on the Autism spectrum and visitors with a range of differing abilities.
