Bus Stops Films is an award winning, disability led organisation which has been in operation since 2009. With a primary focus supporting those living disabilities and others from marginalised communities, we use film studies education, filmmaking and the film industry to change community attitudes globally around the rights and contribution to society of and by people with disability and other marginalised groups. We deliver an Accessible Film Studies Program in leading film schools for people 17+ living with mild to moderate intellectual disability or Autism. The 40 week, rolling program offer film theory, practical filmmaking, increased social confidence, literacy and work ready skills. The Program classes are 3 hours long and taught by professional filmmakers with the support of disability support workers. The program is NDIS supported.

The participants make amazing films which then entered into festivals and screen on TV. We also offer employment support through Bus Stop Employment to open pathways to employment in screen industry.
