Everything you need to know
Everyone welcome!
Join us Wednesday afternoons between 3.00pm and 5.00pm for nature-rich STEM experiences at Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre. Just $5 entry per person and open to everyone!
We will introduce a different approach this term. Rather than running structured activities, we will be offering access to the centre and a range of self-guided activities. Ride your bike, bring your friends, pack an afternoon snack or purchase from Twitchers coffee window.
Every Wednesday after school we will be providing a range of self-guided nature-based experiences. Come and meet other families who are wild about the natural world. Activities will vary each week and may include:
- Scooping for macro-invertebrates
- Invertebrate sifting
- Wildlife surveys
- Orienteering
- Nature art
- Rehabilitation
- Animal feeding
- Nature walks
- Eco-games
The Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre will be open to the public for Wildlife Wednesdays during school terms from 3.00pm-5.00pm. Bookings not essential, children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
