The Hangout Space is a safe and inclusive social space for youth and young adults to hang out, make new friends and engage in fun and inclusive activities. It’s a space to develop new social skills and explore areas of interest with other likeminded peers.
The Hangout Space is for youth and young adults on the autism spectrum or people living with mental health, psychosocial or other neurodiverse disorders or disabilities.
The program gives participants the opportunity to:
- Meet new people and engage in fun games and activities
- Explore areas of interest and try new things
- Practice social skills with peers in a safe and inclusive environment
- Activities are based on participant suggestions and group planning ideas!
- Understand and identify personal goals, strengths and abilities
- Outdoor recreation, sports, health and wellbeing activities available
- The program offers both centre and community based activities.
Day’s and Times:
Tuesdays – 4:30pm to 7:30pm
Fridays – 5:00pm to 8:00pm
Saturdays (Youth) – 12:30pm to 3:30pm
NDIS core or CB funding can be used to pay for this program. Prices are based on the NDIS Pricing Arrangement and may be subject to change. Some additional costs associated with outings and meals are not included in the program fee. Transport can be provided for participants.
