School Leavers Employment Support Program

Our focus is on building the capacity, awareness, confidence and independence to enter the workforce or into volunteer work after school. This program provides school leavers with transition to work skills, opportunities and experience, including resume writing, interview skills and workplace safety. We also work with participants to create individual plans, including pathways to employment or further education, job seeking and community participation. TOPICS FOR THIS PROGRAM INCLUDE: Time management Budgeting and managing money Health and safety Teamwork Communication in the workplace Expectations from your employer Independent travel to and from work Dressing for work Searching and applying for a job Resumes and cover letters Building confidence to win and maintain a job Develop career-specific skills, as per their Career Pathway Plan Further study Social skills development Work experience
