Everything you need to know

We provide all meals, snack and activities and we do a lot of different activities over a respite weekend. We aim to provide 1 activity or outing on Saturday and we will do something on Sunday morning. Activities include: drive-inn, movies, archery, bowling etc and we adjust the program to suite those in care.

We also try out best to match participants together to encourage positive and healthy relationships.

To facilitate mixed groups, there is at least one staff member awake overnight. We are able to provide respite for up to 6 teens.

We will work with you to facilitate participant’s cultural, religious, gender (binary/non binary) preferences or food requirements as much as possible.

We work hard to match our participants with staff and with other participants to create a harmonious and supportive respite relationship.

We encourage new respite participants to join an activity prior to a respite weekend to familiarize themselves with the staff and the environment before coming for a weekend (Our Holiday Programs and Outside of School Clubs allow for this). Alternatively, consider staying for one night (Saturday) before attending a full weekend.

We prefer participants do not bring valuables or money with them and take no responsibility for them.

We request all participants to bring their Companion Card and Go Card with them – this helps us to access a wider range of services and ensures we can fully support each participant’s individual needs.
