Everything you need to know
Join Byron Bay artist Susan Wright of Born in Paper and learn to make handmade paper using flowers, raw cotton and colours AND how to do beautiful Japanese book binding.
In this class you will learn how to prepare your pulp, pull sheets of papers, press, dry, add seeds for gift tags OR try embossing the wet paper – the ideas for using the paper are endless.
We will show you how to dry and press flowers quickly and easily and you will also get hands on with Japanese Stab Binding using Born in Paper’s pre made papers and learn how to make a journal.
This workshop includes all materials as well as light refreshments.
The workshop is an adult open age class but is suitable for ages 12+ so long as all participants under 14 are accompanied by a participating adult. No experience necessary.

Our studio is tucked away in Warriewood, our little oasis, with a very special energy and an atmosphere where one always feels comfortable enough to come alone or with friends and spend a few hours with inspiring creatives learning or refining new skills.
Our incredible teachers and creatives come from far and wide to teach their craft and our classes include macrame, resin art, weaving, traditional calligraphy, basket and sculptural weaving, shibori, meditation, and a wide variety of fibre art, painting and of course; everything in between. We currently have over 70 Different classes on offer and we also cater for private events and celebrations too.
