Everything you need to know

Our program kicks off in the KIN Club, where teens are provided with a space (our launch pad), enabling them to feel comfortable with mentors, other participants and to become familiar with the new environment. Time is then spent building repour over centre-based activities like cooking snacks, playing board games, watching movies, building Lego, and engaging in art & craft projects. Then it’s a short excursion on our bus to engage in one of the many external activities we have lined up. Depending on our group, these activities can be more targeted to the interests of the group, and all begin from the KIN Club and finish in the KIN Club.

Our young, qualified, and energetic support staff are dedicated to providing exceptional care and ensuring that each teen experiences all that the program has to offer. This inclusive environment focuses on increasing social interactions, developing social skills, fostering independence, sparking new interests, and building friendships and informal support networks. Above all, we aim to enhance emotional well-being and create a strong sense of belonging. Rest assured; your teen will be in safe hands while enjoying a week of memorable experiences. Don’t miss this opportunity to give your teen an enriching holiday experience!

WHEN:
There are two options, 16th – 20th December & 13th – 17th January. Participants can choose individual days, some days, or an entire week. Early drop off and late pick up can be arranged.

WHERE:
Your Enabled Services, KIN Club 2/259 Leitch’s Road, Brendale. This is the location of our centre-based activities and will be used as the launch pad from which we board the KIN Club bus for excursions and disembark from the bus after our excursions. It is through our partnership with Blind Bats Association that we have full access to all the sporting facilities at the Devine Sporting complex where we provide the option to participate in outdoor fun group games.

PRICING:
Program is funded through the NDIS as per the NDIS price guide. Support ratio depends on the participants requirements and are usually 1:1 or 1:2. We provide 6 hours of support each day and transport if required. Programs can be funded through Group, Community and Social, or Skills Development line items. We’re here to discuss your specific requirements and provide a tailored quote. Please call our friendly Coordination team to discuss your individual requirements including transport and support.

TRANSPORTATION:
At Your Enabled Services, we prioritise inclusivity and comfort in all our activities. Through our valued partnership with the Blind Bats Association, we have secured access to spacious and well-equipped small commuter buses. This ensures that when we embark on outings from the KIN Club, we do so as a united group, providing a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone. Rest assured, our transportation services are designed with your needs in mind, ensuring safety, accessibility, and the joy of shared adventures.

WHAT TO BRING:
• Comfort Items: Bring anything that helps your teen feel at ease, such as a phone, iPad, or
another favourite personal item.
• Water Bottle: Staying hydrated is important, so pack a refillable water bottle.
• Lunch Options: You can pack a lunch, or, if one of your teen’s goals is ‘money handling’ and ‘building independence’ in the community, lunch can be purchased. Our mentors are here to support these learning experiences, helping teens gain independence while working toward their goals. These items help ensure your teen has a comfortable, enjoyable experience while also supporting personal growth goals during the program.
