Everything you need to know
Kidz Clubactivities are carefully planned to promote inclusion, foster positive relationships and provide opportunities for social and community interactions and experiences.
We have a range of clubs which are designed with a focus on activities that are of interest to the group including:
Lego Club, Explorers, Tech Heads, STEAM, Art & Craft and D&D.
LEGO Club is a group activity held at our Ballina Hub. The club not only focuses on building Lego, but also fosters capacity building in regard to social interactions, turn taking, sequencing, role play, building confidence, learning trust and much more! Children can participate in fun Lego games and challenges, stop motion movie making, boxed sets or free build.
EXPLORERS is a group activity which involves adventuring out into the community and nature. The sessions focus on building confidence and capacity in regard to social interactions, in the community, as well as learning trust, turn taking, and much more!
DUNGONS & DRAGONS is a group activity facilitated by our amazing Dungeon Master, Jess. All equipment is supplied for the club which is held at our Ballina hub. Dungeons and Dragons is best described as a collaborative adventure storytelling game where the Dungeon Master plays the narrator and supporting cast while everyone else plays the main character. It fosters social skills such as turn taking, teamwork, building confidence and more.
It is unique in that it builds confidence and self-esteem by enabling players to explore situations through the character of their choice. Players create their own character profile including their role and personality, giving complete creative freedom to perhaps explore personality traits quite different to their own.
STEAM is held at our Ballina Hub and is based on activities with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. STEAM Club is held on a Wednesday afternoon from 3:30-5:00 pm.
TECH HEADS is a group activity based on social gaming. Children can BYO device or use the Hub Xbox to play games such as Minecraft, Roblox, Fall Guys, Rocket League and more!
